State Theatre of Musical Comedy After Hakob Paronyan

In 1941, the Yerevan State Theater of Musical Comedy was founded. The first play that was staged in the theater was by performance of V. Valentinov's "Fire Priestess" operetta. In 1962, the theater was named after Hakob Paronyan
The main producer of the theater is Hakob Ghazanchyan, the director is Karo Shahbazyan. The cast includes famous actors: Mariam Ghazaryan, Boris Pepanyan, Tigranuhi Ter-Markosyan, Robert Ghambaryan, Jasmen Asryan and other favorite artists. The theater has participated in international festivals held in different countries - USA, Syria, Iran, Georgia and Yerevan - and won many awards.
